SXSW Film Day 2 & Day 3

I never got around to posting last night, but here is a summary of the day 2 and day 3.

Day 2:

Knots - Despite a small dose of pseudo-star power, Knots wasn't exactly a thumbs up. While it has its moments, you could only see so many psychological breakdowns and crises. (2.5/5)

Blackballed - Bobby Dukes was at the top of the paintball world, when a wiping incident brought it to a crashing halt. After a 10 year hiatus, he comes back to play and he plans to win it all. This movie was nonstop laughs and has been the best movie I've seen so far. (4/5)

Male Fantasy - Movie about a guy that is separated from his wife and child and his futile attempts to get back in the game. Boring. (1.5/5)

Day 3:
Love Me If You Dare - French movie about best friends that have difficulties balancing their friendship as it develops into more as they grow older. I sorta wanted to dislike this movie, because it was French, but I couldn't. The storyline was cute, the imagery was good, and the music was good as well. Recommended. (4/5)

Public Domain - Movie about a futuristic reality show where they plant hidden cameras into 3 people's homes and have viewers vote on who has the most pathetic life. The concept was OK, but some of the characters and their interactions were a bit tired. Nadia Litz was the highlight as a teenage girl who pimps out her friends to score more drugs. If I sat on the end of the aisle, I probably would have walked out a bit earlier, since I was planning on watching Red vs Blue. (2/5)
