I made chocolate chip cookies from scratch on Saturday, since I didn't want to show to the crawfish boil, empty handed. This was actually the first time I had done it from scratch by myself. Every other time, I was either assisting or being assisted. A few weeks ago, I made some, but that was actually from a mix *gasp*.
Everyone was pretty positive about them, except for one person that thought it was missing something that they couldn't identify. In reality, they had too much of something. I slightly overdosed the vanilla. My little secret... Well, until now. SHH! Don't tell anyone.
Other cooking tip for the day:
When making chocolate chip cookies, fold in the chips by hand. If you just use the mixer they don't get distributed very evenly.
