I’m coming out of my cage...

A couple months ago, I had a drive-thru experience worth writing about. Sadly, my Wendy's experience yesterday was not quite as pleasant.

First, despite the fact that they have a video screen that should display my order, they don't punch it up on the screen for whatever reason. I hear them get my order wrong since the total amount was way too low. I try and get them to fix it, but nobody answers me.

Next, I drive up to the first window where they take your money, and I tell the girl that I think they got my order wrong. I hand her a $20 and get about $5 back. She then tells me to give her another dollar and change for the additional food. Now call me crazy, but I just don't think lunchtime cashiers will accidentally short change you by $10. I tell her that I gave her a $20, and I could swear I saw her roll her eyes at me. *sigh*

Finally, I drive up to the last window where I get my food, and I ask for a receipt, and she says "it's all there". I repeat my request for a receipt, because I want a damn receipt! I'm perfectly capable of counting 3 sandwiches on my own. I just want the damn receipt for my write-only database known as Quicken. She basically just ignores my request.

After my repeated trips through the Taco Cabana drive-thru where I left with enchiladas and no knife, I'm going back to walking in from now on.

Hot Fuss - The Killers

P.S. Where the hell can you get this on SACD? It was supposed to be out over a year ago. GRR.
