Sometimes things don't go as you plan...

How did my day go, you ask?

20:00 - arrive at coffee shop
20:01 - meet date and start talking
20:02 - realize that there is little to no spark
21:45 - farewells after date (should have cut this off earlier)
22:00 - call favorite pizza place
22:01 - Pizza place is not open =(
22:15 - Arrive at Walmart to try and buy any one of 3 things
22:25 - Can't find any of the 3 things that I wanted to buy
22:30 - Try to find something, so I don't leave empty handed.
22:45 - End up buying a chamois window scrubber for my car
23:00 - Get home, and I'm still hungry

Blah.

When it rains it pours

This has been an incredible 2 weeks. And when I say incredible, I don't mean in a good way.

05/31 - Co-worker dies in a car accident. He was 31.
06/05 - Former president Ronald Reagan dies. He was 93.
06/08 - The last of my original Tiger Barbs dies. She was 4.5.
06/09 - My parents' favorite goldfish dies. DaiTau (Cantonese for Big Head) was 3.
06/10 - Ray Charles dies. He was 73.
06/10 - My friends' Chow dies. Bonnie was 14.

Please tell me that it's over...

Quote of the Week

"i still can't believe we became friends just because i got hit in the head with a paintball."

Fact is stranger than fiction.

For Love or Money?

"Single men have the same total family income [per family member], regardless of whether they are single, cohabiting or married," she wrote, adding that "marriage and cohabitation confer sizable -- and identical -- financial benefits on women while men break even upon entering either type of union."

If this is true, it appears that women have a choice, and men don't.
Interesting stuff. =)

Stumbled across this at Marginal Revolution.
