Here he comes... Here comes Speed Racer...

Michael Schumacher isn't such a bad guy, after all.

LONDON, England -- Seven-time world Formula One champion Michael Schumacher has donated $10 million to the victims of last week's Asian tsunamis, his manager Willi Weber said during a German telethon on Tuesday.

It takes two to make a thing go right...

For the last 2 days running, our local Fox affiliate (KTBC) failed to show the start of a NFL Divisional Playoff game in High-Def. Saturday's Rams-Falcons game cut over at half time. Today's Vikings-Eagles game didn't cut over until about half-way through the first quarter.

If you're ever watching Fox, expecting a show to be in high-def, and it's not, call the newsroom that's staffed 24/7: (512) 472-0988.

Knock ’em out and tell them what we all about y’all

Over the last couple of weeks we keep hearing about how this year, the Colts are for real. This year, Peyton's too good. This year, they've got too many weapons. This year, New England's secondary is too tattered.

From ESPN:

There's this revolutionary theory women refer to when the light goes off about guys whom they like who don't show interest it's called, "He's just not that into you." So simple. Likewise, New England is just better. There's no mystery to it. Six in a row, four here and two at the RCA Dome? That's beyond a trend. These teams, as presently constituted, could play on gravel and the Patriots would beat them. There's been no proof to the contrary.

Once again, I called it. There's a reason why people keep repeating the phrase, "Defense wins championships". Peyton Manning may keep getting the MVP award based on stats, but stats don't win ballgames.

Money, money, money, mo-ney... Mo-ney...

After being introduced to Quicken back in 1998 by a roommate, I've relied heavily on it for helping me track my spending and to get a handle on my finances. Unfortunately, since 2002, every version appears to be a dud. What's even worse is that all the reviews on Money seem to be pretty bad too. =(

Now I've gotten a notice that on 04/19, QIF support is going away. Blech. Any Money or Quicken users have a recent version? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? I've got over 6 years of financial data and I can't really afford to have it implode on me.
